K9's Work Experience
2014-2024

2015 was a very busy year for the three dogs. They worked weekly on contract jobs and worked new scenarios on a very regular basis. On top of their weekly work schedule they also received weekly training to hone
their skills and keep their noses on point. We look forward to an even busier 2016!!!
2018 was another very busy year. The year started out with the K9 team in mourning with the loss of K9 Jagger to cancer. He was sorely missed on a daily basis by not only elite K9 but also by all his customers who loved him so much. K9 Hunter spent the year fine-tuning her skills and ended her year with a nice find of live bed bugs in a post-treatment inspection. K9 Bugsy continues to be the lead K9 with amazing finds on a regular basis. K9 Bugsy had big shoes to fill from the loss of K9 Jagger and he has excelled beyond all expectations. The K9s muscled it thru another busy summer where the they worked 5-6 days a week with 600+ college dorm rooms on top of their usual work schedule. The K9s exceeded our expectations on endurance, dedication and continued to make live bed bugs finds on a weekly basis.
2019 started off with a bang. The K9's searched no less than 600 offices/cubicles in the first month of 2019.  In the spring the K9s completed 157 apartments+common areas on a two day job. The summer was it usual busy self with the K9's working 6-7 days a week with the usual work load of weekly apartments, residential homes, medical facilities, senior living, plus 656 summer college dorm rooms.
In the fall the K9s were back at it in the commercial spaces with over a thousand cubicles/offices searched.
It was another fascinating year of watching the talented K9's having amazing and difficult finds of bed bugs, once again proving the K9's important role in the battle against Bed Bugs.
2020 to 2021 There is not much to say about 2020. Although there was a reduction is business the K9 teams remained steady. Since there were more down time than under normal circumstances, the k9's enjoyed late nights, sleeping in, long naps, hikes and fun fundamental training exercises of bed bug detection and obedience. Since the vaccine, the need for inspections has steadily increased and by summer of 2021 the K9 teams were back to working 6 days a week.
new k9 was acquired, K9 Vinny, in spring of 2021. Vinny is progressing nicely in his scent training and obedience training and looks to take his WDDO certification test in fall of 2021.
2021
K9 Vinden a.k.a 'Vinny'
passed his certification test and has become a full-time employee of the Elite K9's crew.
2022-2023  K9 Vinden and K9 Hunter have had two busy years working together as a team to tackle more than 50 large volume building searches. Together they frequently searched 80 rooms or more per day, moving along with efficiency and thoroughness.
